What Kind of Love is That
Lyrics by Michele Payton and Darla McCammon; Music by Michele Payton.
One morning when my husband was getting ready for work, we were having a conversation.
The conversation didn’t exactly go the way I had planned. By the time he left for work I was upset, not too happy with him, and feeling a lot like he just didn’t know me and didn’t appreciate me at all. Before long I was convinced that I was wonderful and he was dirt!
Well, thankfully, God spoke to me and helped me to realize that my husband was really pretty great and I was lucky to have him. He also made me realize that I wasn’t too great sometimes either but God still loved me. In fact, God still loved me and wanted to listen to everything I had to say even if I was complaining and griping about how I didn’t like the husband He gave me.
God knows me, knows every part of me and STILL loves me. What kind of love is that?
Psalm 139:1-4 – O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.
